MunchPak Review – Is It Right for You?
I have been looking into getting a candy subscription box for a while now – and in fact, Munchpak had been on my radar. Finding new and interesting candy can be tough, especially if it’s international.
Not only that but convenience stores seem to have the same old candies over and over again. Discovering new sweets is virtually impossible these days as no one takes any real risks in stocking their candy shelves. How many times can someone have Skittles and M&Ms honestly?
For that reason, I was excited when Munchpak reached out and offered me a free box. Full disclosure: this one was offered to me for the sole purpose of a review. They knew I was a fan of candy, so I am pretty sure they knew I would like it 🙂
They were right, of course; had I paid for this, I still would have been satisfied. The packaging was fun, and there’s a certain mystery as to what exactly is inside. Let’s get into it!
First, the packaging was fun, and there’s a certain mystery as to what exactly is inside. I couldn’t wait to unbox it. Everyone at my work was interested too. So let’s get into it!
The contents of my MunchPak were as follows:
- A Kiwi Soda from Japan
- Sour Blockheads from the Netherlands
- Fini Sour Tornadoes from Spain
- Tayto Salt and Vinegar Chips from Ireland
- White and Red Flag Caramel Heaven from USA
- Goralki nugatowe from Slovakia
- Dorval Sour Power Belts from the Netherlands
- Zoozle Musss from Poland
- Chillz Spicy Potato Sticks from Pakistan
Pretty diverse group of candy wouldn’t you say?
From Poland to the Japan, it’s very cool to see what other snacks look like from around the world. You can see the similarities and the differences between US candy and these. Even better, you don’t have to leave your couch to track them down!
The only thing I could think of wanting was a little background on each of the brands and the specific candies. A lot of these I had to do research on my own – not to mention that their names are hard to pronounce in certain cases.
The conclusion?
All in all, there was a lot of candies to get through and it took me some time. Some were great, some were not.
Either way, you can basically try a new candy a day for about a week. There are rarely redundant kinds of candies with the MunchPak. In that, I mean that you don’t get 5 packs of sour gummies (for example). Instead, you get a wide array of sweet, savory and sour treats.

For picky eaters, there are even options to customize each box on the Munchpak website (which is also brilliantly designed). Creating a customized box takes no time and their user interface is funny and easy. You can exclude certain types of sweets from the box and add a drink if you want.
You can elect for snacks per box of:
- 5+
- 10+
- 20+
And have a subscription length of:
- One time gift
- 3 Months
- 6 Months
- 12 Months
Personally, I feel that a Munchpak subscription box would make a great one-time gift for a sweet tooth. It’s not just because you get a lot of candy and sweets with it; it’s the fact that you get new and interesting ones to try! Munchpak will put all the thought into candy consumption for you and you get to reap the sugary rewards.
