About Munger University

Munger University was formed in the year 2018. It is a state university that came into formation after the visualization of Nitish Kumar, Bihar’s chief minister. He visualized this during one of his development tours and finally came into reality after a two-year time span.

They have 12 affiliated colleges and 17 colleges under the university. Moreover, it is a bifurcation of the Tilkha Manjhi Bhagalpur University.

Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University

It was formed on July 12, 1960, due to the Bihar State University Act,1960. Moreover, people knew this as the Bhagalpur University. However, in 1991 it was changed.

Firstly, the name of the institute is based on Tilka Manjhi, a famous freedom fighter.

Secondly, the campus covers an area of 264 acres. It is one of the oldest institutes in India. Also, the education level is very high.

Thirdly, University Grants Commission (UGC) accepted all the courses. And National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) approved the institute.

Fourthly, they have almost 60,000 students till now. Moreover, they offer 16 courses and six vocational courses.

Patna University

The Patna University was formed in 1917. And, they offer undergraduate courses (UG), postgraduate (PG), Diploma, and research courses.

Undergraduate (UG) Admission

Candidates should have 45% marks in aggregate in their graduation.

Bachelor in Environmental Science

MCA Admission

Candidates with a BCA or B. Sc. degree with a minimum of 45% marks can apply for it. However, candidates with other Hons. degree can apply if they have a certification in computer.

Moreover, it is merit-based. And later, they interviewed to shortlist the candidates eventually.

PG Diploma Admission

Candidates are selected after a short interview. Moreover, candidates who have qualified CAT/ MAT/ JMET/ ATMA can apply for the Industrial Safety Management course. 

However, 60% of the seats are reserved for Patna University students.

Applied Criminology

Candidates must have a Hons. degree in either of the subjects: psychology, sociology, social work, law, or education.

Industrial Safety Management and HR Development

Candidates must have 55% with a Degree in either of the subjects, which are commerce, science, law, social science, or B.Tech.

Clinical Psychology

MA in psychology and h-must have a general paper in clinical psychology.

Candidates must have graduation with 45% in aggregate.

Public Administration

Operations Management, Marketing Management, and Financial Management

Either 45% marks in aggregate on B.Com. Hons or 50% from any graduate.

Journalism

Ph.D. Admission

They offer Ph.D. in six subjects that are:

Candidates must have 55% in the related PG degree. However, SC and ST should have 50%. Moreover, there is an admission test called PAT, which the candidate needs to qualify.

PAT has two papers with 100 marks each. So, Paper 1 has MCQs, whereas Paper 2 is subjective based. However, candidates must score 50% (45% for ST and SC) in their PAT exam.
