If you want to practice as an ultrasound technician, you will need to get ARDMS, CCI, and ARRT certified.

The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification covers all areas. There is an annual fee for this certification and you will have to get recertified every 6 years.

Cardiovascular Credentialing International also has a fee and must get renewed in 3 years. This certification has nine areas that you can get certified in depending on what you are specializing in. Those looking for advanced certification, try the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.
