Halloween is coming up soon, though if you’ve been gauging the seasons by store displays, it’s been coming up for 2 months now.

In honor of the holiday, Miss Make has posted a surprisingly easy recipe for homemade chocolate and peanut butter pumpkins, ala Reese’s style. I wouldn’t recommend handing them out to trick-or-treaters (my mother never let me eat unwrapped candy), but they’d be great to bring for a Halloween party.

The best part about the recipe is that it’s easily adaptable for different occasions. It just depends on your cookie cutter shapes. So you can have chocolate and peanut butter turkeys for Thanksgiving, ornaments and menorahs for the winter holidays, champagne flutes for New Year’s, etc.

And candy companies, I’d like a 5% kickback if you actually make any of the above, thanks! You really haven’t monetized Thanksgiving and New Year’s enough, I think.
