I found the new Sour Patch Kids Tricksters at 7-Eleven when I was really looking for the new Deadpool 2 candy.
However, when I see a new flavor of Sour Patch I always have to get them. Plus, the package had me intrigued – what made these little guys “tricksters”.
Luckily for me, it’s right there on the bag. Flavors may look one way, but taste another. Crazy, right? Well, not really. There’s no method to this madness, which made it a frustrating experience.
While I love Sour Patch Kids, I’ve never been a fan of “mystery” flavors. I don’t have the palate for it. Just tell me what it is! I know what’s good and what’s bad. I don’t know the subtle difference between blue raspberry and raspberrry (kidding of course).
That’s what makes this candy such a bust for me. You can go in expecting one flavor and get another. Conversely, you can eat the orange one and still be stuck with the crappy orange flavor!
That’s why for me it’s an O.
