Elden Ring is a first-person experience for many who have never played any of FromSoftware’s souls-like games before. Beginning Elden Ring can be a daunting experience, even for players who are accustomed to FromSoftware’s games. An abundance of content with little to no context is presented to players, who are then thrown into the fire with decisions that will have an impact on the rest of their playthrough and overall gameplay experience

Choosing a playstyle and which weapons to use are just a couple of examples of these options. To achieve a high level of difficulty, FromSoftware uses a unique leveling system that forces players to prioritize specific attributes over others. However, many players do not have enough playtime to determine whether or not they will enjoy or want to play the game at the start of the game.

This is where the respec system in Elden Ring comes into play, which is explained below. In contrast to previous FromSoftware games, Elden Ring allows players to respec their characters fairly early in the game’s progression. Respecing is covered in this section, along with the steps to unlocking it and the items required to respec characters.

How to change your Elden Ring spec.

Elden Ring players were fortunate in that the option to respec was made available to them early on by FromSoftware. Additionally, due to the abundance of the specific Key Item found throughout the Lands Between, players can be fairly liberal with their respecs. However, this is only true for a single playthrough. There are a plethora of different types of builds to experiment with as well as different ways to play the game, and FromSoftware encourages players to experiment.

Players must first obtain the Rune of Perfect Rebirth in order to respec. This Rune is awarded to the player after he or she defeats Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, in the game. Rennala can be found at the end of the Academy of Raya Lucaria, near the entrance. In the middle of Lake in Liurnia, there is a floating castle-like structure known as the Academy, which is home to one of the legacy dungeons.

Once players have defeated Rennala, they will be able to communicate with her directly. She will offer the Tarnished the opportunity to be reborn and have their attribute points reallocated in exchange for a Larval Tear, which they will accept as payment.

Larval Tears are a consumable Key Item that can be found in various locations throughout the Lands Between. Even though players will not be able to obtain an infinite supply during their current journey, they will be able to obtain 18 in each playthrough, and these will carry over into New Game+.

Players who need assistance in locating these Larval Tears in the Lands Between can refer to our guide on how to obtain and use Larval Tears in Elden Ring, which can be found here.

Even though there is an incredible amount of Elden Ring items, spells, and armor available in Elden Ring, there is also an almost infinite number of one-of-a-kind and odd items scattered throughout the Lands Between as well. These items are typically associated with various NPCs and serve as a key to unlock the next step in the questlines associated with those NPCs and characters. When players complete the stories associated with the various characters, they gain access to powerful and hidden items that they can use.

The majority of the time, these important items that are discovered during or required to progress through quests are locked behind specific actions. There are several options here, including killing a specific boss, looting the item from a corpse or chest, or simply speaking with another NPC to receive the item.

Every Tarnished must make decisions as they travel through and explore the Lands Between, and Elden Ring is brimming with opportunities for them to do so. Due to the fact that many players do not want to make the wrong decision, it can be overwhelming at times. Many times, players are forced to make a choice between two options, with no opportunity to change their minds until the next playthrough occurs.

Some of the content that falls into this category can be boss remembrances (if players have completed all Walking Mausoleums), as well as interacting with specific NPCs and helping them progress in their respective stories. While XBOX Elden Ring Runes may appear daunting at first, and buy PS Elden Ring Runes may appear as though Tarnished are constantly being forced to make decisions, many of the options do not have a lasting impact on the players’ experiences and playthroughs.

Having said that, one decision that many players are having difficulty making is whether or not to use the Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen. This Boss Remembrance can be obtained by defeating Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, who can be found at the end of the Academy of Raya Lucaria’s main questline (see below). Enia at the Roundtable Hold will give players the option of exchanging Boss Remembrances for a Carian Regal Scepter, Rennala’s Glintstone Staff, or Rennala’s Full Moon, which is a powerful spell that Rennala uses during the boss fight. In this section, we’ll go over the advantages of each option and determine which is the better choice for players.

Carian Royal Scepter is a scepter used by the Carian monarchy.
The Carian Regal Scepter is a Glintstone staff that can be obtained by trading the Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen to Enia in the Roundtable Hold in exchange for the Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen. However, despite the fact that this is one of the best staves in Elden Ring, buy Elden Ring runes comes with a hefty Intelligence requirement of 60 to use it. The use of this staff should not be a problem for those who have already specialized in sorcery and magical-based attacks, as reaching 60 Intelligence by the end of a playthrough should be relatively straightforward.
