Yesterday, I reviewed Mars’s new Milky Way Simply Caramel bar. Today, I’ll give 2 readers a chance to try it out for themselves!
Mars/Milky Way has given me 2 “Simply Caramel Relax and Enjoy” prize packs to give away to ZOMG, Candy! readers. Each prize pack will include a $75 gift certificate to SpaFinder.com for a yoga class or massage and “Enough Simply Caramel Bars to indulge in for a month (5).”
I thought it was amusing that Milky Way considered 5 candy bars to be a month’s supply. On the one hand, 1 bar a week is a healthy, reasonable indulgence, and 5 chocolate bars/person is a generous gift. On the other hand, don’t they want people buying and eating more than that?
So, to enter this giveaway, simply leave a comment about how many full-sized candy bars you would consider to be a month’s supply. Be sure to leave a real email address (seen and used only by me to contact the winners). Deadline for entry is Sunday, August 15 at 9pm EST. I’ll randomly select 2 commenters to win. Good luck!
Oooh, ooh, pick me, pick me! Then you can just hand it to me when I see you. 😀
I think 5 bars is very reasonable for a month’s supply. I’m more likely to eat little bite size pieces of candy than to sit down every day with a full size bar.
I’ve already won one of your contests, but I just felt like sharing my opinion. I think 4 is a good number for these single serve bars. They are all the same bar, so more than one a week and they may begin to lose their luster.
Pick me pick me! I love caramel. 🙂
1 a week sounds about right to me for an average monthly supply (even if I only eat 1 or 2 a month!)
Hm…I do love chocolate, so one a week (maybe two, if I am feeling extra decadent, which is often!) would be good, I think. A nice treat, once in a while. 🙂
I would say 4 is about right. Send them to me and I’ll let you know if 5 is the right number 😉
If we’re talking doomsday scenario candy sustenance, then the answer is simple.
In the event of a Nazi Mutant Zombie Kitten Apocalypse, a month’s supply of Milky Way Simply Caramel bars would be enough bars to be eaten every day for breakfast, lunch, snack time, dinner, and dessert for 30 days.
Every bar is 250 calories, and 1250 calories is about the minimum number of calories that you can sustain yourself on for an extended period of time, so 150 Milky Way bars would be the ideal number for a month’s supply.
I suppose I could make due with five though….
i think more than one candy bar per week is a better supply. probably 2 per week, then what if you have a special occasion. or a real bummer of a day. or no time for lunch, so you have a milky way instead. i’d say 10 per month is an adequate supply.
If I have 5 candy bars, I’ll eat one with lunch every day. So 25/month.
Geez, you mean I have to admit to how many candy bars I actually eat! Ok, well then at least half of one a day so I guess on average 15 regular size bars per month.
umm, I would say 30/31 candy bars would be a month’s supply. I could easily eat a candy bar a day…but in reality, what I would actually allow myself to eat might be closer to 8-10 (one each weekend day).
I think I would cut them into 4ths, freeze them, and eat one piece a day as a cold ‘beat the heat’ treat! That would make about 8 bars perfect for a month.
I think that 3 candy bars per week would be quite sufficient! That makes 12 per month…
I think 15-20 bars a month would be a good supply that way you could skip a few days and still have some left over
I would consider 30 candy bars to be a month’s supply 🙂 *Thanks* for the giveaway!
I think 25 would be alright! I like chocolate. 😉 – michithiatyahoodotcom
A month’s supply? I’d say about 40! I am addicted to chocolate! I can be contacted at stinky-millie at hotmail dot com.
that’s a really interesting question. i think 5 sounds about right for how many candy bars i’d *actually* eat in a month, but for a company doing a promotion, that seems… oddly prescriptive. like they are setting you up to feel bad about yourself when you finish them in a week.
I would say about 2 bars a month.
Considering that the combindation of chocolate and caramel is the pinnacle of the world of sweets (followed closely by chocolate and peanut butter), I would peg a month’s supply as being 15…one for every other day. Some for me, some to share with my wife who shares my opinion of caramel. I’d even give the massage gift certificate to my amazing wife. 🙂
The younger me would think something more like 20-25 would get me through a month. The on-tour me might think 16. The lazy, at-home me says 5 would just about do it. Bring it on! :o)
no # is enough for this chocoholic!
I think that to be really satisfied, I’d need about 15 candy bars in a month, but I generally survive on just one here and there… maybe 2 or 3 a month?
Lately a month’s supply is probably 2 (most likely even less), my life has been super hectic as of late so I don’t even have time for chocolate. Hmm.. no time for chocolate, you know it has to be bad times! Thanks so much for the chance to win, the spa AND candy would be nice!
Snack Blog aside, I probably have about 1 candy bar a month. I like them, but the portions are just too big to enjoy frequently.
Yummy! Four bars seems an adequate supply for a month.
