Not one who’s great at being overly sentimental, I managed to miss ZOMG, Candy!’s first birthday! My first post was back on August 02, 2007. At the time, I didn’t know how long I’d manage to keep it up at started out rather tentatively.
Two months in, I made the decision to scale back from 5 to 3 reviews a week so that I would have time to actually study and learn and stuff. Since then, I’ve managed to post new reviews on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and new news on Tuesdays and Thursdays with respectable (I think) regularity. As best I can tell, this is my 319th published post to date.
So what will the next 365 days bring for ZOMG, Candy!? Quite honestly, I’m not sure. When school starts up, I’ll be a senior and busy with senior stuff and applications for post-grad things on top of my normal schoolwork and school life. I’ll also be super busy with the band until my reign term ends in late January. Football season (Woo! Football!) alone will eat my life. I don’t know if I’ll have the time to devote to my beloved blog.
On the other hand, I love writing about candy! And I’ve got a ginormous candy stash to work my way through. Seriously, it must be reproducing while I’m not looking or something; I taste and taste, yet it never seems to diminish. So the current plan is to try to hang on as long as I can handle it. After all, my webhosting doesn’t expire until January of 2009.
Congratulations!
You never know, you might have time! If you don’t make time for stuff you enjoy, you’ll go crazy. My senior year was killer, but for the two years since graduation, I’ve had time for fun like blogging, despite having a “real job.”
Congrats on such a great site – I check for updates everyday…and still will now I even though I know you dont update it everday 🙂
Please keep up the good work this is a really enjoyable site
Regards
Jim
I graduated not so long ago and know exactly how you feel. But no worries … there’s always candy :P!
I’ve enjoyed reading your reviews over the past few months. Keep up with the good work, and all the best in the future.
