Chocolate and China

After Slate’s Daniel Gross complained about not being able to find a chocolate bar in China, readers weighed in on why.

Number 4 reminded me of how my parents always bring giant packs of M&Ms with them for gift-giving when they visit China.

    Interesting, and it probably explains why the last time a friend of mine went to China, she took a suitcase of Peanut Butter Cups with her!

    Hmm where did they go? I was in China in June/July, and they had plenty of chocolate. It was either Japanese or Chinese, no American stuff which I expected.
