The folks at bulk candy seller Sweet Services have come up with a nice marketing tool to capitalize on today’s changing marketplace. If you have a blog that’s been around for more than a year, shoot them an email, and they’ll send you a giant bag of a mix of bulk candy and give you a shout-out on their blog. They send a note along with the candy that asks you to reciprocate their kindness, but there’s no actual obligation to do so. And they also pass along a coupon code, JAN09, to save 2.5% on your purchase.
Cheaper way to get your name out than placing online ads and probably more likely to get read. I got a giant bag of candy to share with company, and now I have good blogging karma, too.
