It’s interesting to track the rise and fall of these various trendy superfruits, isn’t it? Acai, Pomegranate before that… I have no idea what’s coming next, I’m sure Oprah will let us know.

I happen to like the flavor of plain Acai, but I notice that it’s hardly ever the lone flavor in anything. Absolut Los Angeles, for example, is Acai, Acerola, Pomegranate, and Blueberry… almost as if to say, “sure, whatever is trendy, throw it in there.” Bossa Nova has a plain Acai juice flavor, with agave as a sweetener. N.O.W. (a company that also makes single serving size cashew juice believe it or not) mixes their Acai with Acerola.

Someone should buy a bottle of pure unsweetened Acai and see if they can homebrew something sensational… with white chocolate, please.
