I browsed and moved along (I bought some stuff at Miette). It wasn't until later that year on another trip to SF that I went back on a weekday and was pleased with the helpful folks (who explained the better deal by the pound which ended up being about $1 an item) and that they give you a free sample with minimum purchase. They also recommended a good lunch for me & my picky dietary needs. I liked them, but they're not my favorite in SF.
